The signature high-rye bourbon of Painted Stave in Smyrna, which bills it as the first legal bourbon made in Delaware; it is aged at least four years in heavily charred oak and not chill-filtered. The distillery lists honey, corn, apple, cinnamon and caramel-toffee on the nose, with corn, raisin, a chalky dryness and white pepper on the palate.
