Wright & Brown Straight Rye Whiskey

What to expect

Oakland's first whiskey since Prohibition (2016): a grain-to-glass, pot-distilled straight rye from organic heritage rye grown in Humboldt County's Mattole Valley plus malted rye and barley, aged at least three years in #3-char oak and bottled non-chill filtered at 90 proof. The distillery lists crème brûlée, chocolate and plum, then cinnamon, clove, dates, dried grass and white pepper, finishing on sage and smoke.
