What to expect

Shortbarrel's annual multi-cask bourbon: mature Kentucky and Indiana bourbon components are each finished separately (Batch IV used Armagnac, Cognac, rum, tawny port and, for the first time, sherry casks) and then blended in Georgia. The company describes dark cherry and fig, cocoa, leather and pipe tobacco over toasted oak and lingering rye spice. Proof isn't published.

Expected notes: Dried cherry, Fig, Dark chocolate, Leather, Pipe tobacco, Candied orange, Rye spice.
