Great Northern Vanguard Whiskey

What to expect

Great Northern Distilling of Stevens Point, Wisconsin calls Vanguard a true Wisconsin whiskey: technically a wheated bourbon, but with only 55% corn plus wheat, rye and malted barley to lean toward a Canadian-style softness, aged in 10-gallon new charred oak and bottled at 82 proof. Caramel and vanilla mellow into rye spice and leather.
